5. Considertheconsequences.One ofthekeyelementsofthe decision-making process is to look at the consequences of each possible decision. Sometimes you might find data to help you predict what might happen, but in most cases, you will need to use careful thought. Think about what resources will be needed to carry out each alternative? Explore how much time, energy, skill, money, knowledge or other resources will be required? Writing down the answers to these questions helps focus your thinking.
6. Selectthebestalternative.Lookat the possible alternatives and select the one that seems best for you in terms of your goals and the resources you have available. If none of the alternatives appear attractive, perhaps you can find a new one by combining some of the possibilities ormakingacompromise.
7. Actuponthedecision.Onceyou have made your decision, implement it.
8. Accepttheresponsibility.Whenyou have made a decision, accept the responsibility and the consequences. Stick with it until changes or improvements can be made. By doing this, you can make a much more realistic appraisal of your decisions and provide a base from which to improve your future decision making skills. Remember, most decisions are made under conditions of uncertainty, imperfect

Evaluate the results. Finally, make sure that you analyse the outcome or results of the decisions you have made so that you can determinenotonlytheir effectiveness,butalsohowto further refine your decision-making skills.
