COULD YOU BE THE SCOUT LEADER THAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR?
Have you ever There are camping trips in classic scout Or could you be the
tents! There are songs around campfires! The Beavers even went to see the ‘Brum’ at the motor museum on a residential visit to the Cotswolds! There are coach trips to special regional fun days where all manner of activities are
on offer.
There are some more formal
occasions; all ages participate in the Remembrance Sunday Parade.

The Scout Organisation is staffed by volunteers. Would you like to become involved? Maybe you were once a Scout and look back upon it with fond memories.
Maybe you’re young, keen and energetic. Maybe you’re a little older and experienced. Maybe you have particular skills to offer such as in sports, orienteering, sailing, music and singing, first aid, art, science, nature, cooking.....
The list of possibilities is endless! Could you offer your help for one or two specific topics or could you offer
help on a weekly or monthly basis?

Hut in the corner of the swimming pool car park? You may never have seen people going in or out. Maybe
you think that it’s disused. WRONG!!! The hut is used by a Beaver Pack on a Wednesday, (age 6-8), a Cub Pack on a Monday, (age 8-10) and a Scout Pack on
a Thursday, (age from 10).
You may think that you must be a
Christian and a churchgoer to be accepted. WRONG!!!
The Scout movement welcomes children of all faiths and atheists alike!
. . . What happens in that hut?. .
The 3rd Newport Pagnell Scout Hut is a lively and active place. The children may play games such as ‘dodge ball’ and ‘keeper of the keys’ or they might do art and crafts or there might be an interesting visitor.
They can earn badges for their achievements. They participate in trips to the swimming pool, they go rambling, do nature trails and go cycling together.

Your input would be greatly appreciated by the fellow volunteers and children alike.
Don’t just leave it to someone else! These children need inspirational, generous, enthusiastic adults to enhance their Scouting experience.
